PATCO’s 15th/16th Locust Station will close on Sunday, November 19th, from 9am to 12pm for a public safety drill. The drill, a collaboration between the DRPA’s Public Safety and Homeland Security units, along with the Philadelphia Fire and Police Departments, will involve testing of emergency response equipment and protocols. During the drill, PATCO trains will run on a standard Sunday schedule and all other stations will be serviced as usual. Commuters who generally access the PATCO Line through the 15th/16th & Locust Station are encouraged to board through the 12th / 13th Locust Station. Residents and visitors in the area should expect to see emergency vehicles, first responders and increased activity in the area around the station during the drill. Streets may be blocked as they would be during an actual emergency. Every effort is being made to minimize disruptions while keeping the exercise realistic.
