PATCO Freedom Card Car

Autoload

FREEDOM card customers have the option of signing up for an Autoload feature. In order to participate in this option, customers simply provide PATCO with certain information identifying themselves and regarding the credit card to be used. They then select an amount they want automatically loaded onto the FREEDOM card (minimum would be $30). Having done this, once the value on the FREEDOM card drops below a threshold value ($5), the next time the customer presents his/her FREEDOM card at a parking gate or fare gate, the amount predetermined by the customer is automatically loaded onto the FREEDOM card, and that amount is debited from the designated credit card.

This is very similar to a feature that many customers enjoy with EZPass. Using this feature, customers will never have to visit an Automated Vending Machine in the stations again. They merely travel through the system using FREEDOM, having the value of their parking or rides automatically deducted from FREEDOM and FREEDOM automatically being reloaded when the value drops below the $5 threshold.

FREEDOM customers can see their balance at the fare gate each time the customer passes through the gate, at the vending machine along with a history of their last ten transactions, and by setting up an on-line account through www.patcofreedomcard.org.

To register for Autoload, set up a web account via www.patcofreedomcard.org, or print out a FREEDOM form and mail it into the FREEDOM Service Center.
