A new PATCO schedule will go into effect on Monday, December 1. The new schedule contains minor adjustments to departure times on weekday nights from 6 p.m. until 11:30 p.m.
The overnight weekday service changes that began on September 1 will continue, and trains will not operate during overnight weekday hours. Those overnight changes are part of a six-month pilot program that extends into 2026, and the December 1 schedule keeps that plan in place.

These minor evening adjustments align with ridership levels and are designed to reduce the number of nightly trackwork schedules. Currently, station construction projects and trackwork require near-daily minor adjustments to the night schedule, which can be inconvenient for riders. By adjusting departure times, trains can operate on a single track when needed without issuing separate trackwork schedules each night. This provides a more consistent, reliable schedule during these hours and reduces the need to check for daily updates, all while allowing critical work to continue safely and efficiently.
Riders should continue to check RidePATCO.org and PATCO's social media channels for holiday service updates. On Thanksgiving Day and New Year's Day, PATCO will operate a special schedule with increased service. On those dates, trains will run overnight, providing 24/7 service for holiday travelers.
