On March 18, PATCO joins transit agencies across the country in recognizing National Transit Employee Appreciation Day, an annual observance led by the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) to honor the dedicated professionals who keep public transportation systems running safely and reliably.
At PATCO, this day is an opportunity to recognize the employees behind the service. From train operators and dispatchers to maintenance crews, facilities staff, and police officers, our team works around the clock to keep the system operating and riders moving.
Public transportation is a critical part of the region's infrastructure, connecting communities and providing safe, dependable travel for thousands of riders each day. That work is made possible by the commitment, professionalism, and pride of PATCO employees.
Many of these roles operate behind the scenes, but their impact is visible in every trip. Whether it's maintaining tracks and vehicles, supporting station operations, or assisting riders, PATCO employees play a vital role in delivering safe and reliable service.
"PATCO connects people to work, school, and the moments that matter, bringing communities together every day," said John D. Rink, PATCO General Manager. "I am proud of the role PATCO employees, along with transit employees across the nation, play in delivering that service."
We thank our employees for their continued dedication and service.
Riders are encouraged to join us in recognizing PATCO employees by sharing a message of appreciation on social media or simply thanking a transit worker during their commute.
