Enhanced Service, Free Parking, and Convenient Connections Make PATCO the Easy Way to Experience the Summer of Soccer
This summer, the world's biggest soccer tournament will bring millions of fans, visitors, and spectators to the Philadelphia region. Whether attending a match in South Philadelphia, visiting FIFA Fan Festival Philadelphia at Lemon Hill, stopping by fan activations in Center City, or enjoying SoccerFest26 along the Camden Waterfront, PATCO is preparing to connect fans to the action.
Throughout the tournament, PATCO will operate enhanced service on match days, providing convenient and affordable transportation between South Jersey and Philadelphia while connecting visitors to some of the region's top soccer destinations and events.
"World Cup excitement extends far beyond the stadium," said John D. Rink, PATCO General Manager. "Fans will be visiting attractions, exploring points of interest, gathering with friends, and experiencing events throughout the region. PATCO is proud to provide a convenient alternative to driving and parking while helping people get where they want to go."
PATCO's service plan includes additional trains, increased capacity, enhanced frequencies, extended service on select match days, and standby trains positioned to accommodate larger crowds. Regular PATCO fares will apply, with no special event surcharges.
In addition to providing access to match-day activities in South Philadelphia, PATCO offers convenient connections to destinations and events throughout the region, including:
For fans traveling from South Jersey, PATCO makes it easy to leave the car behind and ride into Philadelphia. More than 12,500 free parking spaces are available at PATCO stations, including Woodcrest Station, which offers direct access from Interstate 295 and serves as a convenient option for travelers from throughout the region.
PATCO remains one of the most affordable ways for fans and families to travel during the tournament. Children age four and under ride free when accompanied by a fare-paying adult, and riders can pay with cash, credit, or debit cards at station ticket vending machines or use a FREEDOM Card.
"Whether you're heading to a match, visiting a fan festival, exploring the city, or spending the day along the Camden Waterfront, PATCO is the easiest way to be part of the excitement," Rink said. "We are looking forward to welcoming visitors from across the region and around the world."
