On Tuesday, October 27, from 4 – 6 p.m., representatives from the Ronald McDonald House in Camden will be on hand at PATCO’s Collingswood Station to both ask and receive. They will first greet evening commuters with cookies and distribute its “Wish List” of items to help them care for the families of seriously ill children being treated at the House.
They will return the following morning, October 28, to collect the donations, which will include pre-packaged snacks and useful household items, such as paper towels, toilet paper and packages of nuts, crackers and cookies.
Though the holiday season is more than a month away, PATCO and its riders have had the giving spirit this fall. The new PATCO Cares program benefits area charities and non-profit organizations. Begun in September, PATCO Cares has already benefited the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and Cathedral Kitchen.
