Updated August 16, 2006 - The 5th Street Pedestrian Tunnel under the Benjamin Franklin Bridge in Philadelphia will be closed for repairs until further notice. Detour signs will direct pedestrians to use 4th Street to access the bridge. The 5th Street Pedestrian Tunnel connects the north and south footwalks under the bridge. The Delaware River Port Authority is a regional transportation and development agency. DRPA owns and operates the Benjamin Franklin, Walt Whitman, Commodore Barry and Betsy Ross bridges, the PATCO High Speed Line, the Philadelphia Cruise Terminal at Pier 1 and the RiverLink Ferry.
