The Delaware River Port Authority is reminding PATCO riders a fare hike of 10% takes effect on January 1st 2011. The PATCO Board of Commissioners approved the fare hike in August of 2008. The 10% hike was scheduled to take effect in September of 2010 but the Board decided to postpone the increase until January 1st. The last fare hike was in September of 2008 and that was a 10% increase.
Here are the new one way fares which take effect on January 1st.
The federally mandated off-peak fare available to seniors, Medicare card holders and disabled customers enrolled in the Reduced Fare Program will increase 8 cents to 70 cents.

The Delaware River Port Authority is a regional transportation agency. DRPA owns and operates the Benjamin Franklin, Walt Whitman, Commodore Barry and Betsy Ross Bridges, PATCO and the Philadelphia Cruise Terminal. The DRPA also owns the RiverLink Ferry.
