PATCO Begins Freedom Connected Program

On Line - Anytime

The region’s first automated fare collection system, PATCO’s FREEDOM Card, is now even more convenient to use.  Beginning Monday, June 13, FREEDOM Card holders can manage their transit budget at www.patcofreedomcard.org, and access PATCO’s FREEDOM Connected program allowing customers to load their FREEDOM Cards on line, sign up for an account and manage their cards.


PATCO President, John J. Matheussen says “We were the first in the region to give our customers the convenience of smart card technology.  Now we are adding web based ticketing to allow FREEDOM Card holders to check account transactions, add value to their cards, register cards, enroll in autoload/automatic replenishment and edit account information on line.”

PATCO Assistant General Manager, Cheryl Spicer, says  “FREEDOM Cardholders will enjoy the convenience and ease of having at their fingertips the ability to load and manage all card transactions.”

The Delaware River Port Authority is a regional transportation agency.  DRPA owns and operates the Benjamin Franklin, Walt Whitman, Commodore Barry and Betsy Ross Bridges, and PATCO.  The DRPA also owns the RiverLink Ferry.
