8th/Market Elevator (South) will be Out of Service Thursday, August 11

The elevator at the south end of 8th/Market Street Station will be taken out of service on Thursday, August 11, 2011, in order to replace the doors.

This work is expected to take in excess of eight hours, but the elevator will be returned to service as quickly as possible.

We apologize for the inconvenience and remind our customers to utilize the elevator at the north end of the station.  Once exiting the fare gates, customers may then use the concourse-to-street-level elevator to the northeast corner of 8th/Market Streets.  That elevator's location in the concourse level is to the left of the short stairway that is just left of the Market-Frankford Line entrance.
