PATCO Service - August 10, 17 and 20
PATCO apologizes for the delay on Friday morning, August 10. Emergency trackwork was suddenly required on the Ben Franklin Bridge, limiting operations to a single track during the busiest time of the morning. While PATCO maintenance crews strove to make repairs quickly, operations personnel provided the best service possible under the circumstances. E-alerts were disseminated to let our customers know of the reduced service, and customers who requested a confirmation of delay for their employers received them that same day.
One of PATCO’s many behind-the-scenes projects is replacement of the interlocking in Lindenwold Yard. During the construction work, PATCO may not have flexibility to bring extra trains on line from the yard.
Should we have to take a train out of service, there is a possibility that a delay could occur during the peak service:
Friday morning & evening, August 17
Monday morning, August 20
We understand that our customers need to reach their destinations on time and strive to accomplish projects with as little disruption as possible. Work is scheduled late Thursday through the weekend to minimize any impact on our customers, as many daily riders may be enjoying a long summer weekend. For those who are taking the train, we will do all that we can to respond to any situation that may arise.
Thank you for your understanding and patience.
