Friday Trains to Run on Construction Schedule during Morning and Evening Rush Hours
LINDENWOLD, N.J. – PATCO trains will run on an extended bridge-track construction schedule beginning on Friday, May 2.
Instead of closing one track across the Benjamin Franklin Bridge from 10 a.m. on Friday until 4:30 a.m. on Monday, PATCO will close one track starting at 5:30 a.m. on Friday.
As a result, trains will run on a construction schedule during the Friday morning and evening rush hours – rather than just during the Friday evening rush hour.
PATCO plans to conclude its spring construction schedule in early June, when a seven-day, 24-hour, one-track closure – or track outage – will begin and extend for 60 days. That unavoidable closure will require PATCO to adopt a bridge construction schedule at all hours of operation.
During bridge-track outages, passengers may face periodic, 30-minute gaps in train service – although some trains will continue to run every five minutes. Passengers are advised to consult updated PATCO timetables.
