DRPA/PATCO Seeks Citizens Advisory Committee Members

The Delaware River Port Authority is seeking community-minded volunteers to serve on its Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC).

This committee was established in 2010 to give customers, neighbors and other stakeholders the opportunity to learn about and provide input on issues related to DRPA and PATCO.

Those interested in matters involving PATCO, the Ben Franklin, Walt Whitman Commodore Barry or Betsy Ross Bridges and followers of transportation issues, are encouraged to apply.

“This committee was established because we wanted to hear from those who have a stake in our day-to-day operations. We welcome their input. Recommendations made by the CAC are considered by our Commissioners when we discuss our bridges and PATCO,” says DRPA CEO John T. Hanson.

Currently there are vacancies on this committee which is comprised of 24 members, 12 each from Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The group seeks to have balance between DRPA bridge and PATCO transit users.

Although CAC works in cooperation with DRPA, it is independent of the Authority and is advisory in nature.

Those interested in becoming committee members must fill out and submit an application which is available for downloading online. Applications are also available at the lobby of DRPA's headquarters One Port Center, all bridges and PATCO stations. Eligible applicants may not be related to DRPA commissioners, officers or employees. Vendors and employees of companies that conduct
business with the DRPA or PATCO also are ineligible.
