Additional service will accommodate travelers to the Women’s March 2018 and Eagles NFC Championship Game
LINDENWOLD, New Jersey: PATCO today announced that the high speed rail line will offer expanded service on Saturday, January 20th and Sunday, January 21st, to accommodate riders traveling to the Women’s March 2018 (Saturday) and the Eagles NFC Championship Game (Sunday). Both events are expected to draw larger than usual weekend crowds to Philadelphia.
“To ensure that customers from throughout the region are able to attend these two major events, we have decided to add cars to our trains and increase the frequency above and beyond our standard weekend schedule,” said PATCO GM John D. Rink. “PATCO is the easiest way to reach Center City Philadelphia from South Jersey and passengers traveling to the Lincoln Financial Field to cheer on our Philadelphia Eagles can easily connect with SEPTA’s Broad Street Line at either the 15th/16th or 12th/13th Street Stations.”
For the Women’s March on Saturday, additional service will be operated Westbound between Collingswood and 15/16th & Locust from 8:04 A.M. until 11:04 A.M.
Trains will run every 10-minutes westbound between these stations. 6-car trains will be used instead of the usual 4-car trains starting at 6:50 A.M., throughout the remainder of the day.
For the Eagles NFC Championship Game, trains will operate every 20-minutes, instead of the normal 30-minutes, from 1:30 P.M. until 5:30 P.M. Sunday TIMETABLE.
As always, PATCO will monitor ridership levels and make adjustments as necessary.
