February 6 Morning Rush Hour Information
On Wednesday morning, February 6, a train traveling westbound lost signal communication between cars, causing the train to come to a complete stop between 8th & Market and 9/10th & Locust St. Stations. PATCO trains cars are designed to come to a complete stop if signal communications are lost. The cause of the problem was located to a faulty electrical coupler between a set of cars. The location of disabled train created significant delays to trains directly following behind it. Service in both directions ran on single track around the disabled train which led to delays.
February 5 Morning Rush Hour Information
On Tuesday morning, February 5, a train traveling westbound lost signal communication between the train and track, causing the train to come to a complete stop between Woodcrest and Haddonfield Stations. PATCO trains are designed to come to a complete stop if signal communications are lost. The disabled train caused significant delays as service was adjusted as best as possible to serve customers traveling westbound and eastbound.
