Need a jolt of caffeine in the morning to get your day going or a nice hot meal in the evening to enjoy at home? Beginning Thursday, November 9, PATCO riders who use the Woodcrest Station will have the opportunity to purchase fresh brewed coffee on their way to work in the morning and the option to pick up dinner on their way home, all from inside their PATCO station. The Delaware River Port Authority and PATCO High Speed Line have entered into a partnership with Todaro’s Fresh Market of Haddonfield, NJ to conduct a six-month trial to gauge interest in a concession service at PATCO stations. The trial project will be conducted at Woodcrest Station only. If the concession service is successful, similar concessions/services will be considered for other PATCO Stations. “At PATCO we constantly strive to improve the travel experience of our passengers,” said John J. Matheussen, DRPA Chief Executive Officer and PATCO President. “We hope the introduction of the concession stand proves to be a valuable convenience for our passengers.” The Todaro’s Fresh Market concession stand will be located inside the turnstiles at PATCO’s Woodcrest Station. In the morning, the stand will offer riders specialty coffees, espresso, tea, juice and a variety of fresh pastries and fruits. In the evening, the stand will offer hot foods such as lasagna, chicken marsala and salmon dishes. Hours of operation will be weekdays from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. As an added incentive, on opening day, Todaro’s will be offering free coffee to the first 50 customers. In addition to the PATCO High Speed Line, the Delaware River Port Authority owns and operates the Benjamin Franklin, Walt Whitman, Commodore Barry and Betsy Ross bridges. It also owns and operates the RiverLink Ferry and Philadelphia Cruise Terminal at Pier.
