Planned work requires shuttle buses to replace train service between
Ferry Avenue and Broadway Stations
Due to planned utility pole work, shuttle buses will replace train service between Ferry Avenue and Broadway Stations on Sunday, September 8 between 1 a.m. and 9 a.m. Trains will operate between Lindenwold and Ferry Avenue Stations and Broadway and 15/16th & Locust Street Stations. A shuttle bus service will be put in place to provide transportation between Ferry Avenue and Broadway Stations. PATCO staff will be available to direct customers to and from the shuttle bus locations. Fares will be based on customers station of origin and destination only- there will be no charge to pass through the fare gates in order to reach the shuttle.
Westbound Service:
Westbound passengers take PATCO from any station between Lindenwold and Ferry Avenue. At Ferry Avenue, detrain and board the shuttle bus at the lower level to Broadway and board the train there to continue the trip westbound.
Eastbound Service:
Eastbound passengers take PATCO from any station between 15/16th & Locust (9/10th & Locust will be closed between 12:10 a.m. and 4:20 a.m.) and Broadway Station. At Broadway, detrain and board the shuttle bus at the upper level to Ferry Avenue and board the train there to continue the trip eastbound.
Special Schedule:
A special schedule will be in effect. There will be an approximate 20-minute wait time for connecting trains at Ferry Avenue and Broadway. To view the schedule, click here.
The work involves the installation of a new utility pole, related support wires and installation of signal cables across the tracks outside the east side of the tunnel which runs under Interstate 676. To accommodate the work, both tracks must be de-energized and occupied by workers and equipment. The work is expected to be completed with full train service restored by 9 a.m. Sunday.
