Southwest corner of 13th & Locust will be closed off, replaced by new elevator
Elevator construction at the 12th/13th & Locust Street PATCO Station will begin at street level on Monday, October 5, 2020.
During construction, the stairs at the southwest corner of 13th & Locust will be closed off and demolished, replaced by the new elevator. The other three stairwells at the 13th & Locust Street intersection will remain open.
The SEPTA bus stop at the southwest corner of 13th & Locust Street, serving the SEPTA Route 12, will be temporarily suspended during construction. The SEPTA Route 12 stops at Broad & Locust Street and at 12th & Locust Street will remain in service.
The parking lane and sidewalk at the southwest corner of 13th & Locust will be temporarily closed throughout the duration of construction.
During Phase 2, the construction barriers will extend into the rightmost traffic lane on Locust Street. At platform level, temporary partitions have been installed around the footprint of the proposed elevator. The station will remain in-service during construction.
