PATCO Pilots Countdown Clocks for Train Arrivals

Commuting experience enhanced with platform signs displaying next train arrival information

Next train arrival time information is on its way to every PATCO station platform.

PATCO has begun testing countdown clocks to inform riders how many minutes it will be until the next eastbound and westbound train arrives.

“Looking down the tracks is a thing of the past,” said John D. Rink, PATCO General Manager. “Everyone likes to know when the next train is coming, and these clocks will provide our customers with up-to-the-minute information on their train’s arrival.”

Numerous overhead LED signs on station platforms will display the countdown arrival times.

During the testing period, certain train arrival times may be inaccurate due to the ongoing testing and programming of the system. A message will cycle through the signs informing customers that the signs are undergoing testing and times may not be accurate.

The signs are expected to be fully operational later this month.
