A Philadelphia tradition since 1956, the Christmas Light Show at Macy’s in Center City illuminates the Wanamaker building, a National Historic Landmark, with almost 100,000 LED lights and finishes with sounds from the Wanamaker Organ.
Daily 10am, 12pm, 2pm, 4pm, 6pm & 8pm

1. “A Christmas Carol” FREE
Macy’s | 13th & Market Streets
A display of animated figures that tell Charles Dickens’ classic tale.
Daily 10am-7pm

2. Christmas Village FREE
Love Park | 1500 Arch Street
An outdoor holiday market featuring more than 50 vendors in quaint wooden booths selling food & gifts.
Sun.-Thurs.: 11am-7pm; Fri.-Sat.: 11am-8pm

3. Comcast Holiday Spectacular FREE
Comcast Center | 1701 JFK Boulevard
During the holiday season, people pour into the lobby of the 58-story Comcast Center for a 15 minute holiday show shown on one of the world’s highest resolution LED displays.
Daily, on the hour. 10am-8pm; except 5pm on weekdays.

4. Rothman Ice Rink

5. Reading Terminal Market
12th & Arch Streets
In operation since 1892, the market is a great place to buy lunch or to get something for dinner, as well as to buy a gift for a foodie friend.
Mon.-Sat.: 8am-6pm; Sun.: 9am-5pm.

5. Holiday Railroad Display FREE
Reading Terminal Market | 12th & Arch Streets
Every holiday season, guests marvel at the 500-square-foot holiday railroad featuring 14 working train lines and miniature scenery of Center City and the countryside.
Mon.-Sat.: 8am-6pm; Sun.: 9am-5pm.

6. Gallery at Market East

Shopping & food. Open daily; holiday hours vary

7. Franklin Square’s Electrical Spectacle FREE
Franklin Square | 6th & Race Streets
A holiday light show featuring dancing lights, a 10-foot-tall kite and holiday music every 30 minutes. Other festivities include visits from Ben Franklin, Santa and other special guests; rides on the carousel and holiday train; seasonal treats at SquareBurger; and mini-golf with warming stations.
Daily, weather permitting. Light show every 30 minutes between 4:30pm-8pm
