February is the month of love and what better way to show your love than to help those who are in need. For the 19th consecutive year, PATCO will be hosting its Valentine Food Drive. This year’s food drive will take place each weekday morning beginning Monday, February 8 until Friday, February 12. PATCO riders can donate non-perishable food items (no glass bottles or soda cans) at specially marked red containers at each of PATCO’s nine New Jersey stations.
“Over the years, I have witnessed the overwhelming generosity of our PATCO riders,” says John J. Matheussen, President of PATCO. “Last year, our riders donated 1,154 pounds of food. I am hopeful they will answer the call again this year and support the Valentine Food Drive and its goal to help feed those in need.”
Once collected, the food will be distributed through the Food Bank of South Jersey, a United Way agency.
